Over Thanksgiving break I traveled to Egypt with my family and a family friend. Although we had flight problems at the beginning and the end, the trip was worth it. The first day, we stayed at Cairo and visited the pyramids. All of my family except for my sister and I rode on camels that day. The next day, we woke up at 4 am to fly to Aswan. Another man by the name of Michael joined us on our trip. Later in the trip, we learned that he is from New Hampshire and owns a 3-legged black cat. He also has a daughter who is a veterinarian. At Aswan, we visited a temple and the High Dam. Our Egyptologist and tour guide was Abrahim. He taught us about the Egyptian gods and taught everything he knew on the history of Ancient Egypt. Later that day, we boarded on a river cruise which we stayed on for the next three days sailing down the Nile River. Throughout those three days, we went on excursions to more temples and the burial chambers of the famous Egyptian king nd queens. Michael left on the third day since he had been in Egypt the previous week and had already done most of the sightseeing already. On the last day, we flew back to Cairo from Luxor and went to the Cairo Museum. We also went to the churches, mosques and synagogues in Cairo. It was amazing to learn that all three religions live in peace together in Egypt for thousands of years. The next day, we flew from Cairo to LAX airport, but lost our luggage.
